I planned a plein air session on the local mountain Schöckl to paint a small wedding chapel on the eastern summit. Due to the windy weather, a reasonable painting session was not possible. So I decided to take a few pictures to have enough reference material for a good composition for my studio. Just rendering a naturalistic image was not exciting enough for me, so in the end my graphic thinking came into play and I added some abstract shapes in the background to the painting.
